Live Studio Recording of "Circles"

On Saturday we recorded with Aaron Miller, the same producer as our EP.  This time, we're back to do a live studio version of "Circles".   It was a long day of recording, but we finished everything.  Now we're just waiting to hear the mix so we can go through the critiquing stages and make it final.   Stay tuned for an upcoming debut!

Here's a sneak video preview as well as some shots from yesterday:

As of Late

It's been awhile since I've updated.  Let's see...

We've played a couple shows since being back from the tour.  A homecoming show at the Rogue Bar and a 'Rockin Ladies Night' the Stray Cat.

Lately, we've been focused on practicing and getting ready to record a live track of "Circles", courtesy of Aaron Miller Productions.  We're also working on some new material, which we hope to slowly unveil at our upcoming shows.  The next one being at the Rogue Bar on Sept 30.

Some other exciting news is that "So Far" got its first airplay on the radio last week.  Since then its been on a regular rotation!  If you want to show your support, click here to request us on their page!

Snooze You Lose - Tour Edition

Tour Thoughts

In short, it was fun and exhausting.  I had a great time being one of the "guys" for a week, but to be honest, it was a little challenging at times.   I can hang pretty well and laugh at immature banter, but there were a few annoyed moments...and I say that with love!  If we tour again, I will be rooting to bring another girl (a band wife/girlfriend) with us.

Some other inconveniences of touring were the: lack of sleep, unhealthy diet, sleeping arrangements, sitting in the middle of the backseat, not having enough time to explore some of the cities, parking a trailer, and unloading/reloading the trailer before/after every show.  On the positive side: it was fun to travel and see new cities, having consecutive shows, getting exposure, the weather, seeing Cali friends, and being better bonded as a band - we made it through without killing each other or without someone quitting.

Overall, the tour went smoother than any of us could have anticipated - from the traveling to finances to show logistics to hospitality.  Am I ready to do it again tomorrow?  Not right away, but definitely sometime down the road.

So what's next?  Some live shows in the Phoenix area and some recording.  We'll be recording one live song in late August.  The next big project is to record a second EP.  The band consensus is to do one that's more rock and upbeat to show our versatility as musicians and in our sound.

Looking ahead, our time and energy will be spent building up a fan base here in the valley...with plans to make shorter trips to cities like Flagstaff, Prescott, Sedona, Lake Havasu, and Tucson.

To the future...
